Is anyone else experiencing a noise very similar to a vaccume leak when the ac is on auto? It seems that every time the doors change position, it will hiss for about 3-5 seconds...it does this about 3 times a minute.

My dealer tells me that the doors are electrically powered and that the noise is normal...

It is a lot louder than the pos ford or pontiac that I have been driveing for 5 weeks while they "FIX" my clutch/tranny. In fact it is easily heard over the cd..

Any idea of what it could be??

Well I have the same problem. Told the dealer about it, they say its normal. But I insisted they check my a/c system anyways. They found a "suction hose" leaking, they replaced it and recharged the system, but it still makes the noise. Its not as prominent now but it still makes it. Makes me feel like I am driving a piece of shit car. Ask them to check your freon levels, your freon levels being low makes the hissing sound louder, or so they told me.

 

thanks for the tip, I will ask them to check it today. I get my car back today, after 5 weeks, YAHOOO.

 

No hissing but when I turn the defroster off, I get a loud pop/crack that sounds like a rock hitting the windshield; dealer says either the door is sticking, or the electric motor is shot. I'm out of warranty, so I'll live with it for now.

Anybody else have this problem?

when i put the a/c on it gives me a similiar noise... pssssssssss..... as soon as i put it on.. but i never thought it was abnormal...
