??? about ECU

Im not sure if this has been posted, but what is the purpose of RESETTING THE ECU? i have read somewhere here that people are doing it but i want specifics please.

are there any advantages to doing this if the engine is completely stock?? I

have read about it in the BMW formus and some say the throttle becomes more responsive....Is it necessary to do so after larger wheels??

thx for your opinions!

the purpose for doing so is to clear learned fuel maps timings and other settings and to allow to relearn (especially after a mod is added) based on new parameters

would it be advisable to reset after the addition of 19in wheels, since they are known to slow down the vehicle?
