honda is doing a lot of tv commercial of selling the 2002 accord at low prices...and i have seen a lot of people really went to buy accords..as i can see they do not even have liscense plate on..just a legal paper on the rear window..what i am thinking is.do those buyers know they are buying the last accord of that style?do they know accord is going to redesign in 2003 with more powerful engine and 6 speed manual tranny?i konw sales person will not tell those 2002 accord buyers as i have personally encouter the sales person whom will just say they have no idea, or they do not know and persuade u to buy the car asap.....i have a friend bought a brand new Lexus LS 400 and after 6 months..brnad new ,redesign Lexus LS430 was released...and he was so mad but there is nothing he can do..paying about the same money but..drive the last model....he can just jealous the other LS 430 drivers.. so...i want to know what do those 2002 accord owners feel?

Well most people dont know about newer models and most people dont care. Not everyone is a car enthusiast. I am sure those that care about newer models that much, will do their research and find out about the redesign.

 

Maybe they're SMART and didn't wanna buy the 1st gen/redesigned accord.

OOPS I have a 1st gen/redesigned CL-S.

 

1st redesign car is not really a good idea,
buying a last model at a decent price for normal people, its actually not bad, since the car has fixed most of the problem, you are getting the best in reliability for your gen.

I am not going to buy a 1st redesign car and make myself a prototype tester and bought it for high price. either get a 2nd or 3rd year of the newer gen.

I still remember there are lots of problem with 98 accord, and how said the 99 TL was, having 00 model with 5speed.

 

Agreed... First of all , people are getting good price breaks on the 02 models. Second is that some accord owners (and particularly the 4dr model owners), really don't care for a powerful engine or a 6spd... It makes no diff to them.
