Iv got a 97 3.0 (i\e) and hes got a 99 eclipse turbo with exhaust.

We started from a 30mph roll and then slammed it, he cant shift because of a messed up clutch so he was in 4th the entire time. He also got the jump because he called the go but i hung with him, i wasnt pulling just kinda stayed a car back the entire time and we were forced to shutdown around 85.

 

you couldn't beat him with him being in 4th gear at 30mph??? that doesn't sound right

 

you definitely should have gotten an early jump on him at very least......

 

Yeah with him staying in 4th the entire time i'd expect you to at least pull on him before 85.

 

i think hes a fuckin dick for racing w/ a clutch so bad that he had to stay in 4th

*edit* He might have been in third, I heard him yell he cant shift and that he had to leave it in third or fourth. Also he got a huge jump on me thats why he was a car ahead. My cars performance seems to vary a lot for some reason could the lack of getting my 60kmile inspection have anything to do with it? (im at 62500 now)

 

doesn't matter if he was stuck in 3rd or 4th...u should have been in front with the advantage....have u been to the track? something must be really wrong with ur car
