98-99 2.3CL 5MT against Camry

I was driving our 98 Camry LE 5S-FE four-cylinder when I kept a nose ahead of a 2.3CL 5MT in a short race over the weekend. The look of surprise on the Acura driver's face was priceless! He literally looked like this
when he looked over at me. It was a harmless 0-60 stoplight race, and as the redlight held us it became apparent he wanted in front of me. He looked over, sneered, and eased the black CL forward. The gold Camry, with 134k miles, 14" rims and body-colored mud guards looks like it would be an easy kill for a tricycle. But the 5S-FE makes its measley 147lb-ft torque quickly. The light went green and off we went. By the time the Camry shifted to second, the CL's front end was about mid-way down the side of the car. It would have been tied up had he not had to shift, but the humor comes from the look on the guy's face when he can't defeat what I'm sure he thought was grandma's car. I'm relatively sure that had I been driving the Camry's stablemate, our 2002 TL, the black CL wouldn't have even attempted.
Had the race went longer, I'm sure the CL would have pulled ahead of the 133hp Camry. But a tie/win is a tie/win nevertheless.
All cars are stock, I'm assuming.
