97 CL 2.2 5MT vs 94 Eagle Talon ESI

After Having my friend cut me off on a 2 lane road and engaging in 20 min drive back to the city passing each other and all, we finally pull up at a traffic light where my lane ends not too far ahead. The talon has an exhaust, Intake and a nice set of performance tires. He had 2 passengers while i had 3. We take off, tires squeling pretty evenly for while until I shift into second and the car just zooms by just in time for me to merge in front off him with about 3 feet before the curb. I dont hear anything anymore about his Talon owning me anymore.

If anything, he had the advantage with the Talon being much lighter and having less people inside. The engines are comparable i beleive 2.2 145 HP vs 2.0 140 HP.

LOL...I'd Never Race one of those, thats just automatic embarassment. And its actually a Plymouth Laser RS, which is the same thing besides a few cosmetic differences.

Since we're on the subjects of specs, what the the actual specs (HP, Torque) for the 1997 2.2CL? I looked online, MSN Autos, and they insist it has a turbo, same for 97 accord ex-r. The close thing is the 98-99 2.3 CL which is rated at 150HP i think.

Aight, thanks for the info, i prefer the 97 model anyways, not a fan of the vertical grill on 98-99 models. I do however like the extended wood trim down to the shifter and cupholder area, that wud be nice
