9000 miles...Brake Job?

I am bringing my car into the dealer next week for them to look at the brakes...I am getting slight pulsing when slowing down from speeds greater than 60 mph...is this normal? ---I do not drive this car too hard at all...and I have really only slammed the brakes hard once and I was l only going like 20 mph....

There is a service bulletin on this item. It is number 01-017 - "Brake Pulsation". It is not normal, eg the car should not do this, but it is normal, eg most of our cars have done this. I think that they replace the pads with heavier pads and turn the rotors as a fix. Some people have had this work done several times and have resulted in getting new rotors.

Enjoy!

What's up Dave, hey I think you're problem is caused by warped rotors. I have a 2001 Cl-s and had my rotors resurfaced three times, twice in the front and once in the rear. all before I hit 25,000 miles. I also get steering wheel vibrations. So my suggestion is, asked the dealer to replace your brake pads or if your rotors are warped, aske them to be replaced.

I am a current victim ! I want nothing less than NEW rotors ! This will be the second time around ! I have better things to do, than to constantly bring my car to an Acura dealership ! Thanks for the TBS number, I'll bring it with me !

just took my car in to pohanka acura in chantilly, va. i could feel a slight pulsing when ever i'd hit the brakes. not really bad pulsating, but noticeable at times. i have almost 15k miles on it. they told me they have to resurface the rotors on both front and rear and also change the pads in the front. all is covered by warranty. funny thing is i met someone at that place who has a tl and was having his brakes worked on too. i think they have to resurface his rotors too. didn't really get to hear what needs to be done to his car. anyway, i think this warping of the rotors and changing of the pads are covered by warranty or just by it being not enough to support the car.
