6speed stick thread diameter

What is it? I'm interested in purchasing this knob and want to see if this thing fits. It says ALMOST universal fit?

It fits up to 16mm threading. What is the CLS threading?

I don’t know what the exact diameter of the shaft is, but if you buy a MOMO knob they come with several rubber adapters so they fit ANY shifter.

I bought mine HERE: http://www.ltbmotorsport.com/index.html

These look similar to the one pictured above:

Hey would any of you guys be interested in a short shifter? I'm started to get irritated with the long throw. I'm not talking about a super-short shifter, but just something so i can can shift a bit quicker.

The OEM knob is tall and skinny.
If you get a replacement knob like I have with a LOWER top surface, the throws will be a bit shorter.
Mine’s fine and I have no desire to make it any shorter.

I’m not sure what that number represents.
16mm is like 5/8”.
I don’t think the shaft is THAT thick so it could be the threads.

Do they make any leather replacement knobs, I be that carbon fiber is freezing during the winter, and scorching during the summer. Probably not as bad as a die cast, but still...

Of course they do...

I've been thinking about this or this

The traditionalist may like this one in the short knob:.

Choices, choices, choices...

It does, but not that bad.

In the summer it’s a bit “toasty”, but not so hot that you can’t put your hand on it to shift. My window tint probably helps here.

In the winter, if it’s cold enough to make the knob uncomfortable I’d probably have my driving gloves on anyway.

DDT,

Looks good. Did you have to cut the boot to make it fit?

This is the MOMO "Shot Carbon" with the "Performance boot" on my car.

I didn't cut anything. I just unscrewed the oem knob, bought the momo knob and installed. It comes with a 3 point hex screw bolt to fasten to the shaft. It's universal fit so i don't think it's a problem on most OEM car's shaft.

As for the boot, the only thing different is that I don't have the plastic ring fastener attached to the momo knob. It doesn't work for the aftermarket knob. I think you can buy MOMO shift boots that will connect to the bottom of the knob.

I still prefer something like shawn S's. It's nice and low. But this knob isn't so bad anyway

It's carbon fiber with matching perforated stitched black leather. There is another version of the same knob that has aluminum replaced where you see leather on the knob. It doesn't match as well as this knob...

No one here wants a shorter shifter, or maybe just new bushings so the shifter isn't so wobbly. Sometimes I can't even slam the car into gear cause the shifter is so wobbly.
