I had problem on wheel spin and no one told me to do that.
Nah I don't really smoke them. Just spin them real quickly to get all the junk off them from rolling up through the staging lanes. More or less scuff them a lil. No smoke. Actually if I don't spin them like I do and the tires are cold I'll smoke them half way through 2nd gear on my launch at 2k rpm.
my new best 60' is a 2.084
that was spraying out of the hole, feathering the gas until i got traction.
i did it on yokohama parada spec2 225/40-18.
not sure what my best light is but i know i've done a .505

Here are my best 60ft + times +mph in an s sp auto:
2.191 13.84@102.2
2.166 13.79@102.63
2.102 13.68@102.56
This was on 17/8 inch cast wheels(not stock) and 235/45 17 pilot sports. pressure was at 32 front and 40 rear.
Some tips: Avoid the water burn out area unless you have slicks. Your treaded tires will hold the water and as you do the burnout it will splash in the wheel well and drip on the tires while you are staging and waiting. Do a 2-3 second burnout to get them warm. Stay within the tracks sweet spot- in other words stay in the already warn down area. turn accessories off and VSA off(on autos). Keep your RPMs to where their is just a slight tire spin/grip as for me that can be 1000 to 1500 depending on track conditions etc.. and enjoy.
If I missed any thing you guys fill in the gap.
