Cool.
Although it doesn’t give much detail, I think that’s the first thing I ever saw from ACURA with the 6-Speed listed.

Except for my order receipt.

So does this all kill the rumors of 295hp and onstar?

yeah, but look at the top of that page...it says 2002. maybe they were actually intending on releasing it in 2002 (before deciding to add hp and a facelift and onstar), so they printed that but never got around to getting it ready. so maybe thye will release it with the facelift and other stuff too for 2003.

It also says 6-speed manual standard. What was that about the manual being a limited production then?

"Standard" is just a marketing term. It might be standard, but 90-95% will leave the factory with the "Premium" 5AT. I've seen cars where the AC was a factory option. But try finding one without it.

This info is for model 2002 and we know for sure that 2002 never got a 6-speed manual transmission. So, no one for sure knows about the 2003 model.

you know what else the new cl will probably have? head curtain airbags. even saturn has these...i'm willing to bet $2 that the new cl will have this.

if acura_service takes the bet though, then i withdraw my bet.

Yeah - this is old stuff it looks like (and outdated and wrong) as it seems they made a last minute decision to pull the 6MT for 2002 and wait for 2003 -- I think cause they are going to time it with some other "substantial" changes

But good looking out ... we have less than a week before we know it all !

it may not be old since it was printed, but it looks like the information on it is old.

there are reviews that just came out a month ago about the i35 and max saying the car still has "260hp".

Well - call it what you want, but that stuff conflicts with the order data as seen by my dealer who ordered my 2003 car

All I am saying is we know 4 things about the new 6MT car - it will have 6MT, the color, Nav system has On-Star, and it will be a 2003 model. The last two are not shown on the above marketing material or are conflicted.

Anyway - no biggie and no need to get excited, I just don't think it is the latest info.

Of course the information is dated. The department that oversees the printed materials and brochures mostly likely is not the same department who decides what's going to happen with the car next year. I don't know why anyone would actually consider a printed brochure the "final and official" word?

There is so much printed material about the Acura that's the guys/gals in the know can't possibly review and approve everything before it goes out. You would be surprised how inaccurate some of the material is.
