6-Speed Headers Installed, 80 Minutes!!!

I am done installing the new header design on my 6-Speed. What I am impressed about is the time; 80 minutes start to finish with no help at all. I have this down now and could possibly do it blindfolded...

But now on to the reaction, well it was storming in my area and hot so not the best weather to test with. But after the car was warmed (and I changed shirts) I went for a drive. Remember, I did have a '01 CL-S with headers, but this was different. I didn't feel the upper end pull as much...

Because there was not enough time. Man, it revs so darn quickly in the upper band I have to concentrate on the Tach so that I don't slam the limiter

It is truly sweeeet, just what the 6-Speed needed...

Thursday night the AEM pulleys go on along with my DIY RES. I'll post about that then. But all is happening in time for the scheduled dyno session Saturday morning.

Steve, are you planning on a trip to the track during the fall?

Definitely, but the problem is that it can easily still be in the 80's, sometimes 90's, during October and even into November. That is when Atlanta Dragway closes.

But maybe we'll have a cold day to get a good idea of the capability...

Good job Scalbert!
I just got mine put on Saturday and I am loving them! This upgrade to my ride is just what I needed to calm me down from wanting another one for a while. It took me and a friend exactly 75 minutes to do it. Luckily he is a mechanic at a VW shop and they let them use their bays on the weekend, so we had full use of air tools and a lift! I was surprised because my heads were already bronze after 2 days of driving with them.
