you know i pondered clay bar. i guess my only hangup is i wasnt sure if that contributes to a thinner layer of paint.

what i did to day was, i used bug and tar remover on the entire car.
it took me a few hours going inch by inch to remove all teh small black spots.
then i used cheap car wax and spread it on the car. i wipe it off with a hanes t shirt.
then i spread meguires hi tech yellow wax 26 on with a small rag and use the buffer with a terry cloth bonnet to distribute the wax. once the meguires is on i use a rag and remove the meguires. i then use another terry cloth bonnet(clean one) and remove the remaining swirl marks and residue from wax that the rag didnt pick up.
after that i use a polishing bonnet to give the final shine.

i have never had swirl marks on any vehicle. it makes any gold acura glow, and i have used it on maroon cars and never once worried about swirls.

it looks even better the next time i wash the car

try using some of the zaino tire shine / cleaner. it makes the sidewall cleaner, and it doesn't attract dirt like most.
