5mm Spacers: Who has them? BBK

I know all you Big Brake guys have them...

I'm in the process of installing the Rotora BBK

Now a question:
How many full 360 turns should I accomplish with the lugnuts w/o having to replace the studs? 6?

Should I be fine with these?
http://www.optauto.com/index.htm?stocknumber=HR1065640

Anyone know of any hubcentric 5mm spacers?

Thanks guys.

I'm able to get 6 1/2 turns using a 5mm spacer and that's really on the edge of comfort for me. On the opposite side, I think Red Rider is using 5mm spacers and hasn't had a problem. With as aggressive as he runs his car, I think any problem with a 5mm spacer would have been discovered by now. If you get 6.0 to 6.5 turns, you're probably going to be fine. Any less is getting into a gray area.

BTW - you have the right spacer selected. 5x114.3 w/ 64mm center bore. As far as Hubcentric, the 64mm centerbore will keep the spacers centered as our hubs are 64mm. A 5mm spacer still leaves a portion of the hub protruding through the spacer enough to contact the centerbore of the rim as long as you have 64mm centerbore rims. Bottom line - the spacers you selected are in essence hubcentric so no need to look further. Hope that's what you're looking for.

Which spacers do you have Allout (info)? Edit/Delete: Are the H&R spacers 64mm CB?

But now I have a problem...

All H&R 5mm Spacers are sold out at OptAuto! Does anyone know anywhere else I can get a hold of these?

Smitty, cls6spd03, Red Rider, etc. chime in?

Do you guys get any sort of vibration on the freeway? I'm thinking of getting them to push my wheels out closer to the fenders.

Sherwin at www.Brakezone.com makes really nice 5mm hubcentric spacers that fit better than the stock rotors did. I have a set on my car for the Wilwood setup. The only drawback to the spacers is that the car seems a bit "floaty."

I have some fabricated ones that are dimensionally the same as the H&R's. I would go with the H&R's. King Motorsports has them also for $68.95 and they say "Pricing is per Pair"
http://www.kingmotorsports.com/product.asp?detail=878

The H&R #1065640 that you found are correct. It's 64mm Centerbore which matches out hubs. They should work fine for you and I would only add to the front two wheels. No need to mess with the rear wheels for such a minor offset.

NiteQwill I'm also waiting for 2 pairs of 5mm H&R Wheel spacers so i can put on my BBK and rear rotors.

About two weeks ago I first went with Opt-Auto but ended up canceling and going with King Motorsports. They too were out of stock on them but i ended up placing the order anyway. Looks like they'll get some more in on the 19th of September. (Sunday)

So they should ship out this week.

I'm actually going with; 5mm Bolt Pattern 5/114.3 Center Bore 70.0 Stud / 12x1.5 Thread Type DRS Style for the fronts & 5mm Bolt Pattern 5/114.3 Center Bore 64.0 Stud / 12x1.5 Thread Type DRS Style for the rears.

I'd definitely go with King Motorsports on this one.

Chap - Why the 70mm centerbore on the front? The hub is 64mm on mine. Are you running aftermarket wheels and using 70mm hub rings?

Also, what's your reasoning on going with spacers on the rear? The 5mm spacer on the front is only moving the wheel out less than 1/5" or .1969". I'm not going with spacers on the rear to maintain more Rim to Hub centerbore contact and more turns on the lugs. Just trying to understand if it's personal preference or something technical that I'm missing.

BTW - How's the SC running?

Cuz that’s what Smitty recommended. He might have made a mental error though.

So our hub is 64mm after all, and you’re running those spacers with no problems?

I wanted to keep it balanced and have them spaced 5mm all around so that’s why i was going with spacers for the rears as well. But you think with a 5mm spacer its not even worth it to run em in the back? As opposed to if I needed the 10 or even 15mm spacers.

I might call KM up on Monday and just have them ship out the 64mm Center Bore ones and that’s it.

Gonna shoot Smitty a PM as well. Thanks Allout for the heads up man, appreciate it.

EDIT- See ya wrote some more...

These are gonna be on stock 17" '03 CLS wheels.

S/C is running great for the past two weeks so far. No problems or hiccups to speak of. Just waiting for some colder temps.

I'm running 17" 03 CL-S wheels also. 64mm is the ticket.

I don't think 5mm on the rear is worth messing with and is very hard to perceive on the car. To me, less is better. I wish I didn't even need to do the front 5mm spacers to start with.

I'm probably about 2 weeks out from having time to install my SC. Glad yours was a clean install and all is running fine. Are you going to dyno?

Yeah definitely. A local shop is in the process of getting setup to run dynos so once they're up and running i want to get in there for some pulls.

Then on to the track for some times.

You'll have a blast with the S/C, its gonna feel like a whole new car.

These things would have been on already.

Thanks again for the info.

Cool, thanks for the info guys, I'm placing my order through King Motorsports right now.

Looks like I'll also be getting the Rotora slotted rear rotors with either stock or Axxis pads and painting the calipers red with G2 paint, to keep the look all around even.

Now, just to get a damn day off school and work to install everything would be nice.....

Make sure you specify what type of rotors you want so they match your BBK. Mine were slotted and drilled so I made sure my rears were the same (combo). As far as pads, I understand that the Axxis Ultimates are very similar to the BBK pads so that's what I went with.
