50th Ann. - Corvette Review

Review of the 50th Ann. Corvette in Money Magazine. Thought this might be of interest. I still like the car, though.

As a past owner of 60's style Corvettes, I can attest to the fact the standard engine in the Corvette now producing some 350 HP is faster than the 427 'Vettes produced back then. The article makes the current 'Vette out to be nothing special. I suppose the 50th Anniversary Corvette was produced to be a more affordable collectible than a souped up version. Anyway...it's really fast enough for most people.

Really? Faster than the cherished 427 that everyone wants? I didn't realize that. I guess some cars do get better with age.

They still should have released a special, super limited edition 50th anniversary C5 with the racing 427 in it. It's GM though, so that didn't happen.
