Soo I have about 12k on my recently new rebuilt tranny , on fwy makin my way home today , trans light comes on , 7 miles later car is bouncing off 5k RPMs , & I'm in D5 , I let of the throttle , car has like 10% power & just starts revving & not going anywhere . At this time , I'm like not again . Pull over , car is smoking , look under the car , oil everywhere , all over the bottom drivers side . Called AAA , had it towed to the guy that fixed it , like this is some bull crap . He's saying it over heated , which shouldn't be happening from a 50 mile trip , supposedly he put a extra trans cooler , which I believe was a lie . I can't take it no more , this trans issue is retarded.
About to hit , 228,000 & haven't had one problem besides this trans . Considering the 07 TL SWAP

Any feedback on solved issues with this problem ?

I've had these symptoms when the lock up set went bad.

 

Put in an auto trans from an 06 Odyssey.

my last tranny did the same, i lost power and i pulled over to see oil everywhere. it was 90 degrees out it was all hills and i was driving at 80 cruise for about an hr when it happened.

shop couldn't find any leaks and said that my torque converter wasn't locking up . code P0740

Had to install another tranny.. Good Luck
