I am just wondering... to those of yall who have V-AFC... with that thing, do you need to turn it all the times? Or find someone to tune it right for the first time, then leave it? or its something that you need to play with all the time.....

just find someone to tune it once and leave it.

4th gear is a bit too tall relative to the 1-2-3 gearing. I think Acura wanted to gear the car for fuel economy. 5th gear is for quiet crusing.

The V-AFC is nice for added power. It is unfortunate that they didn't add an on and off setting (or multiple settings).

The unit is great for added power. However, they could add an improved model that had 3 memory settings:

1. Normal -- leaves the factory setting alone.

2. Economy -- sets the fuel map to the leanest fuel-air mix for the best economy possible.

3. Power -- sets the fuel-air mix richer for poor fuel economy, but increased power.

The headers help get the air out of the engine, so the fuel economy should go up (if the driver doesn't drive hard). However, more power is available.

Cold air intake (or more efficient air intake) helps with volumetric efficiency -- so there is more power "AVAILABLE".

does the VTEC contoller void the warranty.

I know that the dealer can't void the warranty becuase of mods. But if i bring in the car for some kind of engine problems, how likely is it that the dealer will say tht the problem was caused by the V-AFC??

How much does the controller cost and have any of you seen signigicant increase in performance?????
