Oh, I guess the new "Z" is a clone of some Porshe at less than $30k. Sure may compete with an Audi TT, Celica GT-S, and the new RX.

the Z looks like a poorly styled porsche. I'm intrigued by the 49 though. Half ugly half badass....

 

Celica GT-S? yeah right, the celica can't compete w/ the TT or the RX, the celica is like a freaken Civic or an Integrea. Please.

I think the Z is going to be a lot faster than the Celica GT-S, and probably even faster than the TT (225hp). There talking about the Z having over 260hp and doing 0-60mph in less than 6 sec, for under $30K. That sounds pretty good to me, and I actually like it better than the RS-X.

hmmm what is common in all of mentioned cars, small box on four wheels, a lot of HP/weight. On the other hand, you are right Audi TT is a very expensive german car well built, like a rock, but still a small box.

Hell just saw the press release on the new Q45 too... Big ass sedan, 0-60 in 5.9, 340HP... They have done a whole lot with t hat car. I was waiting to trade my 95 in for the 02, but got so pissed at Crest, I went ahead with an Acura... Wonder if I Should have waited. Hehe anyway, I love my CL but the new Q is definately looking good.

None of them look good, so I like none of them. But Acura RSX and Toyota Matrix are good looking boy racers...haha...Nissan Z is the biggest diappointment to me so far, no matter how nissan brag about it about this and that, all bullshit, it's a ugly car in my eyes.

 

I like the Ford 49, sorta reminds me of a 49 Merc with chopped top. 300+ pony V8 (SC from Lightning...)with RWD and a 6M, loud exhaust....mmmmmmm, I'd buy that. Those rims are absolutely huge!!! Throw in a shark-tooth grill and side pipes.

Man that NEw Z is cooool as hell. I hope its in a respectable price range this time around becasue that is the reason why the japs have no more large sports cars (supra, rx-7, 3000gt, 300z) The price if in the 30s may also take away from serious acurqa cl;-s owners too if its faster, anyone know wthe specs on it yet. wil let be faster, i think its smaller though and probally wouldnt be in the same class as us.

Yup yup, nissan finnaly got their act together. Some things to come....

1. Skyline is coming in 2003 or 2004 as an infiniti.
2. Altima is getting larger with a 170hp 4 banger and optional 240hp v6.
3. Maxima SE-R is coming out next year with 280hp and getting larger in 2003.
4. Sentra Se-R and SE-R V spec is coming out in 2002 with 180hp and close to 200 lbft of torque from a 2.5 liter 4.
5. The new q45 is gonna be sweet as already stated.
6. The new z is coming out with 260-280hp and will be around 30k!!

uhmmm i cant think of what else but they finnaly got thier act together.
P.S. Im only here because i love the type s, not to get in any nissan vs. honda fights.
