3hr old Type S bites the dust! 87 miles on the odo.

I received two crazy phone calls today at work. My brothers' good friend who owns a shop in West New York and who installed my Comptech springs just signed off on a black Type S. The same dude owns a 97 Type R, mods to the moon. My brother told me the good news and I was all hyped about it cuz now we can cruise with his S, my S, and my brothers R. About 3 hours later at 5pm my brother calls me up telling me that this dude just TOTALLED his car! The car had 87 miles on it! He was traveling on Kennedy Blvd. in the Jersey City area at about 60mph (25mph zone)when an Expedition pulls an illegal u-turn and gets smacked right into it's side by the black cherry Type S. The Expedition goes into a spin. My brothers' friend wasn't wearing a seatbelt, the airbag was the only thing that saved him. He walked away w/o any injuries... crazy s**t boys. He's getting a new one next week. I'm gonna try to set up my digital camera to take pics of the car which is at his shop. Sad stuff, but best part is, is that i'm getting 4 brand new rims and tires, and that cool new cupholder if the two front wheels are bad, i'll only take 2 new rims since thats all i need. what else can i do the "switch-a-roo" with on this car? It's already totalled! A moment of silence for a fallen hero...

Leave the cupholder, you'll be disappointed! It doesn't fit correctly in older CL's!

Yuppie wowser! 60 on Kennedy Blvd ANYWHERE is fast on that curving, densely traveled, red light jammed road. It would have happened sooner or later at that speed and there are so many schools on that route. Anyways how are the floormats and wiper blades on your car holding up?

Ok ok so you don't need wiperblades. Did your cousins car have fenderwell trim or mud guards that weren't damaged?

probably just switch the Navi disc. I don't think there is a market for the used disc since it is the first one released.

hey! i thought i was the one to take advantage of a decrepid type s!
if all 4 tires and rims are immaculate, i'm taking them all rim and tire! but if the two front are toast, i'll only take the rims minus the tires.

Don’t forget the small stuff such as Wheel locks, roof visor & splashguards.

I hear those Type-S emblems fall of real easy on frontal impact too.
Might be a good idea to have a spare on hand if yours gets lifted.

We sound like a bunch of grave robbers don’t we ?

i suggest getting the fender liners and mud guards....i would take the fender liners because if you ever want to really slam your car fender liner modifactions will be a must to prevent rubbing.....i did a good job cutting mine up when it was slammed but when i raised it back up i went to order new ones and they were like 100$ a piece...those mudguards are about the same price!!!

Haha. I am here now, finally.

As for the SWAP on the burlwood Faux, Soopa, why don't you ship YOUR Faux to Yuppie, then have them "Swapped" I am SURE that the insurance company won't even notice.

Humm, I feel better about MY wreck now. Atleast Mine was 8 months old

Swap the rims and I'd swap the tire also, F-it. Swap the disc, mats, and TAKE THE BADGE!
