Could be worth doing, might reqired some extra stuff besides just 2 new camshafts to get 375hp though.

Could you live with a rough-running higher lift cam. Not me.

I agree with Pappy.. eventhough our CLS is only entry level luxo coupe, but to do an all motor setup for our car is just not worth it. IMO, it's one thing to all bolt-on's to give our car a bit more punch, but it's another thing to put a "full blown" race engine in it. I had an integ that I went all motor with, it wasn't anything too special, but it was running mid 13's. However, it definitely was not a nice smooth ride anymore..

Plus, since I have an auto.. I guess this wouldn't even apply to me I guess...

The most thing I love about my CLS... is its character...

Driving around it is just like any other Luxo GT... millow and luxorious... like a persion cat ... However, once pushed ( ehm pissed) it roars like a Siberian tiger...

Remember there are multiple cam lobes. You could run a more aggresive lobe for the high VTEC and gain power and not affect idle or cruise quality. But this would only provide gains above 4800 revs.

It sounds possable. Look at it this way: Stock 3.2= 260hp. Upgrade to a 3.5L and you should be at least to 270hp. pocket port, up the valve size, bowl blend and other head stuff and you should be to 290hp or so. Add better cams and you could easly hit the 315hp mark. Upping the comression to 11.5:1 is a little optimistic for me, but 11:1 should be possable. Now add on some large tube headers with 2.25" collectors, merged into a single 2.5" mid pipe, with dual 2.25 or a single 2.5" exaust out back and you should have 330hp.

could also bore out the throttle body, have some custom titanium springs, raise the redline up a lil more.
Bored&stroke do you think doing a 2.5" exhaust would make the car have a lot of backpressure?

2.5" create a lot of backpressure? No I dont think so. In a stock car I actually think it might be too much. But for a 3.5L motor it should be good. Then again Im going on accord stock pipe sizes [2" duals, 2 1/4" mid pipe] because nobody seems to know what stock type-S's run

2-1/4 Inch is the mid pipe size on the CL-S, but I don't recall it reducing after the Y (T actually).
