After leaving a club down in the "Stripe District" I noticed a beautiful yellow 360 Modena two cars in front of me. So I thought it would be interesting to see how fast $200,000+ really was.

Dropped into second and blew by him once on a four lane straight. Of couse he dropped a few gears and chased and passed...although he didn't get too far.

So a black M3 behind me sees all this and also gave chase, but he stayed in my rearview. With my CL-S at WOT the 360 Modena only got two to two and a half car lengths in front of me. Don't know if the driver was scared or whatever, but I thought it was going to toast me. Not the case.

I pulled up again to the next light, this time the 400+horsies in the Ferrari shined. I guess from standing start, they can definitely blow the CL-S out of the water, but from a rolling 30mph it doesn't get too far.

Just wanted to share...definitely got my heart pumping tonight.

 

i doubt he was giving WOT when he was on a rolling start. Those things are monsters.

 

or he didnt know how to drive it.

 

Damn, I have to buy a CLS now! Screw the $200,000 performance of a Ferrari. I bet if you had headers, supercharger, and CAI, you'd take him!

First shit was all about CLS vs. BMW, now its CLS vs. Ferrari's.

I've driven a 360 before...fast as hell. Stopped at a light waiting for the green. When it turned green, I gunned it to half throttle. Two blocks later, I look in the rearview mirror and the guy behind me at the light was just beginning to enter into the intersection. The CL-S will NOT have a chance head to head no matter the situation...well if the 360 gives the CL-S a 3 block headstart then things may be different...but I still doubt it.

 

Yeah he's totally right. The Cl-s is a supercar in hiding.. There is nothing I haven't beat with it.. 911 turbos, M3 LTWs, M3 GTRs, Saleen S7s,a couple diablos, and some granny in a Z06.. And my only mod is wiper blades. If i had a K&N whatch out! I'l be gunning for Formula 1 cars..

Take a chill Tuboz, I didn't see him bragging about his car. Just pointing out how absurd it is racing a Ferrari and how delusional cl-s owners seem to be..

Let's put some perspective on this. The CLS is a high 14 to low 15 second car in the quarter. The Ferrari is a 12 second car.

Half of the reason I want a 360 Modena is because it's a Ferrari.

See, there's its performance numbers, but then there's its design, its looks, and its unique Ferrari sound.

 

i tried to follow a 360 on the interstate but, but i didnt have the balls (too much intelligence) to do 110 in the rain.

I doubt he wanted to toss the car back into first from a rolling start.

Have u seen the video of that dude w/ the hooked up teg type-r trying to race a 355 F1 Spider? That car is significantly slower than any Modena ... and yea.. the type R was ahead.... only until the ferrari owner realized that the R was trying to race him.... I think he maybe downshifted a gear than blew past him like it was nothing cuz as shoot as he passed ... u heard him shut down.

 

I haven beaten a 550M and several 360's....but wasn't in the Acura. The guys with Ferrari's around me, drive them hard.

The Ferrari is probably cruisin not racing. I'll probably rephrase the topic 360 Modena's aren't that fast >>360 Modena's are fast but he's not interested on racing

Even if the modena isn't all that fast, i'd drive it just because it's a ferrari modena! Love the curves of that car!

You want a story.....

I was at the gas station getting gas, all of a sudden....I hear like crazy downshifting and the guy flies up to the light to make a right (blue 360M), he takes off- sounds amazing.

So, I am at the same light making a left (5 minutes later)...the guy had turned around, and was at the light going straight-the same direction as me (this is a 4 way intersection).

I got the left turn signal, I end of hitting a light a half mile up the road.....moments later, I see the 360 flying up behind me (he must have weazled his way around a few cars).

He pulled behind me, because there was a car already in the left lane.

Light turns green, I accelerate (not crazy)...he gets in front of the other car, riding next to me making lots of noise riding 2nd gear.

The next light is only a little ways up, its red (no cars at the light)...he's in the left, I'm in the right- luckily, not too many cars ahead.

It was over before it began, we both take off.....we are about even for the first 20 feet, the Viper's torque just took the field and I passed him doing about 80-85mph and moved in front of him.

So, the Ferrari got to stare at my nice ass for a few minutes.

I have a few things done, K@N intake & smooth tubes (from the Viper ACR), MGW short throw shift knob (kit is not necessary), Snake Oyl stainless exhaust, Roe Racing High flo cats.

Yeah man I'd shove the front license plate braket up the dealer's ass sideways if he got within ten feet of a Modena I was about to buy.

Of course since I will probably never be able to afford one, dealers can rest easy.
