Most likely the Z. You have too much stuff weighing you down.

Gonna be close is my guess, the convertible usually weighs 300-400 pounds more.

You should take the convert - hardtop will be tough!

I still think the vert will win by a hair. Even though it's heavier than the hardtop, it's still slightly lighter than the CL-S.

Plus, it still has the hp/torque/rwd advantage.

The Z roadster only weighs ~220lbs more than the Coupe. It weighs 3420lbs.

The Z roadster has been clocked at running 0-60 in 5.7-5.8 seconds and does the 1/4 mile in 14.2-14.3 seconds which is faster than almost all auto CL's with headers and CAI. The best I ran with my auto CL with headers & CAI was 14.4 but that was without the heavy 19 inch rims you have.

The race may be fairly close, but I doubt to you will beat the Z, unless it wasn't well driven.

350 vs. cls

i drove a 350z on friday the 9th. i'm looking to sell my cls6 in may.
the z is one of the cars i was looking at. it has tons of torque but i had told the sales guy it really didn't feel any quicker then my car once it got moving. i know that might sound crazy but that would explain why i have been able to beat two 6 speed 350's.
one from a light 0-95mph going up miliken in ontario ca. it's obvious that guy couldn't drive. he should of had me for lunch off the line. but by 95 i had a car and a half on him.the other z encounter was getting on the freeway at haven and the 210w.
this was a 10mph role i was on the inside onramp lane the z on the outside lane. light turns green and i can hear that z rev up (nice sounding growl). out of the corner of my eye i can see he has one intention and that's to beat me to the bottom of the onramp. so half way through the corner i punch it in first and hung on. grabbed second by redline in second i was pulling the z.
by 100mph i had him by 2 cars. (at least). i would really like to race a z with a good driver so i can have my big head deflated.
this is a disapointment seeing how i would possibly have purchased one. one thing about my car, it seems to get faster the more miles i put on it. i use nothing but synthetic oil and do the fuel injector cleaner every 4000 miles. i have 37000 miles on it now. maybe i should just do the headers and keep it......
