Ah, my first race of any kinda in a LONG time. I'm talking atleast 6 months. So anyway I'm getting onto 476S from lansdale and I see guy in a BMW behind me. He seems young so I automatically think there is a shot at a race here. He's behind me from the gate to the off-ramp. I downshift from 4>3>2 and gun it. He does the same. I don't pull away but he doesn't gain any ground. We hit ALOT of traffic and so nothing happens for a while. We are both in the left lane. Traffic breaks a bit on the right and then I pass the car and truck ahead of me. He tries to follow but can't speed enough fast enough. I see his face and his pissed so i know when he catches up it's on

He ends up catching me at Mid-County. He goes left and I go right. I thought he picked a slower line but i didn't want to take my chances so i basically threw my money and ticket at the
toll-taker. Focker had EZ-Pass and he was out of the gate ahead of me 1 second headstart. I'm already in SS mode and so i gun it. 1/2 gear i pull up to him and 3rd i just blow past him. I pull ahead and he is on my ass. We get side-by-side as the road opens up....I drop from 5>3 and just ROAST him. He's had enough at this point so I slow down and let him get close. He won't look at me. He looks at my car gives a slight nod and then pulls ahead.

As soon as I saw the 325 badge I knew the guy had no chance but it was still an interesting race.

It was the new body style. Here are some specs:

Good Kill!!! For some reason I can't get the bimmer boyz to race me in a 3 series. I always get people in 540is and $hit like that...

 

Yea, gotta becareful with the 5 series. 525's are easy kills but stay away from the 540's. 530's would be drivers race.

 

No shit 540 would chew us up and spit us out.

The 3s are ok (unless it's an M3).

 

325s are no problem, i have a clp and i beat them everytime.

 

We should be able to beat a 530. They only come with Auto's and weigh quite a bit more than a 330

A 330 Auto is a drivers race with our car. Not the 530 IMO

 

i just saw a 330 ci brand new musta been 2002...i thought it was an M3 man nice looking....the 330 i raced before was an older style...

i beat 325 and 323 and 328 before...but i was beat by a E39 M5 i can not even get close to it..

 

My bad! I thought the 540 was the only 5 series (other than an M5) with a manual.

I guess then it would be a drivers race....

I once raced, no not raced, murdered a older model 325ci. I was at the light and the left lane next to me merges right after the light so most ppl would merge before the light. Green light, I took off a little fast (9hrs at work drained too much energy, I was hungry). This idiot in a 325ci came flying and merged right at my front quarter panel, I had to move the next lane to the right to save his insurance premium . I was upset so I floored it, he heard the intake so he floored it. End of second gear and a second into 3rd gear, he was more than a car behind. He shutted down and I shutted down. Next light, he was embarrassed that he cut across 2 lanes to hide. How did I know? He headed the same direction for another 4 miles.
