30K worth of LEMONaid!

Just like the subject says...spent 30 K and the tranny is a lemon! It is just about out all the way...and the dealer...yeah its closed today for inventory! Great I have to wait till Monday and HOPE that it makes it there so they can then order a new one...and then I can start the wait. I wish they would have just listened to me in the first place and just ordered it this past Monday instead of just flushing it. I mean come on...11500 in miles and the fluid was jet black...that should tell you something! If it does really take 4-6 weeks to get a new one...do yall think I can get Acura to waive that portion of my car payments???

I would think that if you are unable to drive the car due to some service that is covered under warranty, that you should be waived the payments.

you should not have to make payments the whole time that it's in the shop...and they should also give you a free car to use while yours is there...

All I ask in return for this tidbit is a chance to drive the new Bimmer you're going to buy after you get fully compensated for this POS.

Does anyone know what the lemon law is in Louisiana? I went to http://www.autosafety.org/ and looked under lemon laws...and its a little confusing. Right after you click on lemon laws it has the qualification on the bottom and it says 4 atempts to repiar or 30 days out of comition...but when i read the law it seems to say 90 days. Does anyone know what it is?

Self Help is not recommended when taking on very, very, very large adversaries. Follow the links to find an an attorney who specializes in the Louisiana Lemon Laws. They'll get their fee from the Manufacturer when they/you successfully settle the matter.

PS If anyone needs help in Illinois or Pennsylvania Lemon Laws, I would be pleased to assist.

PPS Many car companies don't take affirmative steps (=recalls) until prodded by the Feds or many consumers willing to assert their rights. If your tranny fails, you've got remedies!!
