just got this reply from the dealer about my service cost. does it sound right?

The 30k service depending on which Acura you have will range from $324.95 to $369.95 depending on your model of vehicle. The brake shimmy that you are having may or may not be covered under warranty. Some Acuras do have a Service BUlletin relating to warped roters however it depends on make and model of the vehicle, if brake pads have been replaced and what the current percentage is. We would be able to determine this for you. In most cases the resurfacing of rotors would be covered however brake pad replacement would would be your cose at $109.95. Just had my rotors re-surfaced and brake pads replaced under warranty. Dealer did not even check if they really need replacement, as soon as I mentioned about brake problems they imiadeatly suggested resurfacing and giving new pads.

I think 30K service is the one you should do, I skiped all other *recommended* services, i only was doing tire rotations, oil change, and tranny flush. But at 30 will do complete checkup....


I would go with whatever dealer suggests for 30K checkup EXCEPT:

Radiator flush and changing brake fluid, those things can be done at 45K miles. this will save you another 100$.
