30K checkup

Took car in for its 30K checkup this morning (flatirons, Boulder, CO). $169.00 (less $7.00 as I supplied Mobile 1 oil). Printed out the three pages from the Acura web site that related to their paint process and noted that the hood of my car does not look like it received the Acura paint process. Also, asked that they check for the rumble/whirring with sun roof open, seat belt not retracting and window auto down not working on hot/sunny days. They supplied a 2000 integra loaner (what a differance!). Will update tomorrow if they helped any of the problems and anything else they say.

my hood was repainted at acura's expense last week. the regional rep approved the cost without even seeing the car(on say so form my service mgr).
contact regional rep and complain "nicely"
my hood never looked this good.

Thats funny that your service was only $169. One dealer in my area wants $325 and the other wants $480.

Yes I agree.. that $169 for 30k service seems extremely low.. I know that for the 7.5K service they quoted me over $100 for that already and all they do is oil change and rotate tires.

I was also suprised, as I had a quote from Portland, OR (I was there last week) of $500-550.00.. I will do a follow up to confirm that they do everything (tranny oil change, air filter etc. when I get it back).

UPDATE: Call from the dealer yesterday afternoon. No mention of the chipped hood paint. They are keeping the car another day as they have ordered a new wind deflector bar, a new window switch (which includes the sensor), and a new seat belt retractor, via overnight express. These are not the fixes that others have mentioned, but we shall see. More news when it happens..
