Arrow 300C 'n Me

Around 11:30PM last night on the 405, I had an encounter with a 300C. It was silver, had 6000k+ HIDs, 20" chromies, lowered, and one of those new grilles. It looked majorly tight. Anyhow, after about 5 minutes of driving back and forth through traffic, he finally puts the move on me. I decided not to bite, and to wait until another opportunity arose. A few minutes later, we were free in the clear again for a few hundred feet. We both took off at around 85. I actually shifted into 4th rather early, at around 102mph. By the time I looked back, he was a length or 2 behind me as I continued into 4th for about 2-3 seconds and I shut down. At that time, he sorta flew by me and slowed down as well. About 5 minutes go by and we get another shot at it. This time we were in a little bit of traffic so I was a bit scared. We took off at around 80 this time and I shut down at about 95. I look over and he's about 1-1.5 lengths behind me, so I'm sure if I continued to the top of 3rd (109ish), I would be about 2 lenghts ahead. However, he'd blow by me in the beginning of 4th. This by far was my closest race yet, along w/ the Magnum RT. I'm sure those heavy wheels slowed him down a bit, eh? Good times, good race.

Your sure it was a C? Not just a 3.5, or even 2.7L V6 deckout out. I see alot of those around. People "hook" them up because those versions are cheap but you get the same look as the 8cyl. If it was a C he either can't drive, wasn't trying, or those 20" rims weigh a ton.

why? they run mid to low 14s, which is what I should run about. And yes, it was a 300c. Had the badges and the stock dual exhaust.

So the C in the 300C indicates it has the hemi?

I'm unclear about this.

who knows, you may be right that he might not have been trying too hard. However, when I shut down, he flew right by me, showing that he had to ATLEAST been trying a little bit. It was definitely a very close race. And I'm near 100% sure it was a C, unless he got the stock dual exhaust and badges. Also, aren't the C's the only ones that have projectors? I have yet to see a non 300C with projectors.

edit: yeah the 300C has the hemi v8

I guess anything is possible on the street. Alot of the 300C owners go around bragging about beating up on G35s so Im not sure if this guy was really trying....

as I said, he flew by me by the time I let off...I guess you can take that however you please. Plus, he was the one who provoked the race in the first place.
