3000GT In Jersey gets spanked

Driving along, no worries at all, drinking my coffee at 8:30 Saturday morning and all of a sudden, some guy in a 3000GT is on my ass. I move right one lane (I was in the far left) and he follows. Still on my ass! Ok, time for fun, there isn't anyone around so I move back to the left lane and I pull a little just to 110 and then slow to 65 again. He bites! As he is approaching I drop to 3rd and floor it! It was so much fun seeing how pissed this guy was getting not being able to pass me. We took it back up to 120 or so and he turned off at the next exit. Victory as usual!

Probably a regular lowend model. yeah I use to have this friend in high school who had a 3000gt w/ only exhaust and he thought his car was the shit. when it only produced like 160 hp w/ 0-60 in like 7.5 sec. I just crack up everytime I see a non vr-4 3000 GT cause it just brings back memories of my friends slow car.

The 3000GT had a 3.0 Liter 222HP base engine. I know the base Stealth had a 12 valve V6 that did not make that much horsepower, but I thought all of the Mitsubishi's had the 222hp engine.

Black/black CL Type S Comptech springs, headers. Soon to have Konis and Comptech sway bars. PIAA 19169, Solaris high beams. Potenza RE730's 225/45/ZR17
...And I wonder where my money goes!

I think they are actually 220hp. My friend has one. It is a pretty heavy car.

I was drawn to this site by Car/Driver Mag as the site name is same as my 2000 Mustang's HP - I didn't know it was for Acura CL's. I know your car rides better, but if you're bragging about speed, my ride is 10 grand less than yours and can smoke yours all the way across the continent in 0 - 60 acceleration & quarter mile, plus torque that makes yours feel positively anemic (agreed yours has higher top end). If you don't believe me, just pick up a Motor Trend and compare the Road Test results in the back - it's all in black & white. But have fun braggin'

I didn't know that we were talking about Ford? And if we were able to race from one side of the US to the other... we'd win for two reasons. 1. You'd break down about half way. and 2. You'd break down about half way. But yea.. you are faster.

To the tool with the Mustang GT,
First of all you drive a mustang, lets get that straight right off the bat. Your car is a plastic, cheaply made FORD that is laughed at by anyone who drives a classy, respectable car like the Acura CL-S or a BMW, Lexus, etc. As for speed, the CL-S is very close to the GT in terms of acceleration and I'm sure that there are plenty of Type-S's on this board that would leave your American p.o.s. Pizza Delivery Vehicle in the dust. But hey, keep living under the delusion that you have a nice car. And when you deliver pizza's to my house and see my beautifully made, refined Type-S sitting pretty in the driveway, try to contain your jealousy. Keep delivering those pies and perhaps one day you too can own a nice car one day too. (Disclaimer--it is pure speculation that the guy delivers pizzas...everyone that drives a Mustang near me seems to be a pizza delivery guy...hahahah so sad!!!)

No offense GT-Y2K but at the tracks I've been on in my Type S, I am not getting Blue Flags for any non-Cobra Mustangs, so far, it has been working the other way around. Now if we are talking Cobra R's, new ballgame, you win!
