3 Questions About Warped Rotors
1) Will warped rotors drastically decrease the life of your brake pads?
2) I got my rotors resurfaced 8-9000 miles ago. They did not replace the pads. On the service invoice there is a note that says "Found Fotors at Max Runout." Does this mean they can not be turned again and must be replaced under the TSB? I can feel my pads have worn down to nearly nothing (I did some really aggressive driving today and my brakes were cooked
) Needless to say I wasn't so aggressive on the way home.
3) Right now I'm at 51900 miles. Thus, I am no longer covered by the TSB. However, the dealer resurfaced the rotors only 8-9000 miles ago. According to the service invoice.
"Labor and parts relative to this document are covered by a Limited Express Warranty for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Acura West hereby limits implied warranties to the same period. This invoice must accompany any and all adjustments or claims."
So even though I'm beyond the 50,000 mile warranty, the dealer should cover it beacuse:
a) It is less than 12,000 miles and the rotors are warped again. and,
b) They didn't fully follow the TSB by not replacing the pads.
