1) I believe they have a dyno that "proves" (I use that term loosely) it gives about 10hp. I think one member dyno'd at about 5hp though.
2) No, you can't feel a difference. You can HEAR a difference, but not feel it!! At least I couldn't when I had my intake on. If anything, it felt a bit quicker after I took it OFF!! At any rate, even if it does give you 5-10hp you're probably not going to be able to feel that.
3) With some help from this forum, you can probably do it. I had some help from a friend. I could have never done it alone because AEM's instructions completely suck. There's no pictures! I actually used the pics on Xephyr's website to get some names of some of the hoses and stuff. Now that I've put one on and taken it off, I could do it in my sleep. But even a little experience means a lot. Lots of people on here will tell you to do it because it's really easy. To that I say, if you don't have the experience of working on cars, then nothing is easy. If you're truly clueless, like I was, I honestly wouldn't even try it. You can probably get a shop to do it for about $75.

The highly calibrated "gto2050 Butt Dyno" says it's quicker. It feels and sounds it. Can I verify it? Nope. BTW, order a Xephyr from Park Avenue Acura in Maywood NJ. He has them in stock.

It's not that hard. There is no cutting...you're only removing the old air box and running the pipe to the bottom and then you secure the filter on.

I haven't priced installation charges, but WTF??? No shop is going to waste their time doing anything and only charge $20 for it - unless you "know" someone!! It's going to take even an experienced mechanic about 45 mins to an hour to put this thing on. They'll round up to 1 hour of labor (regardless of how much time it actually took them to do it and charge you about $50 at the least.
