3.5's first time out
my first run was a 10.170 @73.78 with a 660 ft trail of smoke and one long black stripe...
last run .... 9.145 @76.66 with a .507 r/t 2.122 60ft 5.995 330 ft
let the games begin...oh and BTW this was still with traction problems and 86* weather ...
im on cloud nine

Looks great!!!
How did you pull off the 2.12 short times?? That is impressive with that torque!! That should equate to a 14 flat if not in the 13's for the 1320' ET... As mentioned before that 3.5L block is looking attractive.
Just for comparison, my best 1/8 mile ET was 9.373 with the 1320' coming in at 14.36. But my lower weight and more aggressive gearing shows in the trap speed, 1/8 trap: 77.86.
But that should seriously be a a 13 second contender!!!

60' 2.59
1/8 10.68
MPH 72.16
I didn't have smoke, just a front end that was seriously bouncing.
Geez, drive the distance and get to a full strip and let us see some solid 13's coming from south FL.

1.55 to 1.57 is the usual estimate, and that yeilds 14.2-14.3.
Not saying the car can't/won't run high 13s, but it's a bit soon to put the "High 13 Second Car" label up just yet.

run the 1/4 without running it, you can only guess...
nice times though
You have to run the 1/4 to guess what it is when you run the 1/8th... Be nice to know.
There is no proper conversion. You have to know the car.

You may have run higher mph on that other run, but it was due to the poorer 60'. Again, just making sure everyone doesn't go overboard over a 9.145@76.66.

Those are good times, but unless you can gain about 23+ mph in the last 1/8th mile, 9.1s arent going to get you 13s unfortunately. Its possible but I think you are probably going to need at least 9.0s to break into the 13s, most likely 8.9s unless you have a strong tailwind. They are good times nonetheless.

Dude, that is AWESOME!!!
Congrats! I can't wait to see your runs in the 1/4!
Tell me about the 3.5 upgrade:
-Cost
-Overall hp increase
-Length of time the car was in the shop to get it done.
-Is it EXTREMELY noticeable in normal driving conditions?
- Is it warrantied?
Thanks!
