3.5 super charged?

Would it be possible to put the comptech supercharger on a 3.5 conversion?

yes, my master tech did the 3.5 with supercharger/ 6-speed swap in his TL. Butt dyno results are the car moved out with ease.

What is the gain of the lysholm over the roots specificaly? I know what both are and how they work but without just saying "one is just better than the other", why is the lysholm so much better and why is it not used in place of the roots in every case? Curious. I have not found any info that explains the physics very well and what part of the pumping process is better on the lyscholm.

Exactly. Have there been any CLs or TLs in the 12's yet?

Huh, didn't think so. What's the issue keeping people from 12s?

Launching the car good enough to get out the hole quick = traction.

Solution = light weight 16inch wheels and drag radials.

I am expecting to add another 20-30 whp NA to my car before the track opens back up so that definately will help

I think Allmotor was the first to get into the 12's. There's more info if you can find the original thread.

Good luck with it. It's definitely possible - weight reductions and traction are going to be key.

Displacement is not always the quick answer. Take a look at this Mazda323 with a KL 2.5 V6. Of course, weight does count, but it's a cool screaming little car. It's from Puerto Rico, they definitely have the pulse for Sport compact! It runs 11.7's with 1.7ish 60 ft times, listen to this motor scream. I realize it's not built for comfort, but it is cool. I'm diggin the tunes. I found this on another forum and thought ya'll like it.

Car is still sleeping in my warehouse. Haven't drove it for 5 months! I was thinking about selling it 2 years ago but don't have the heart to part it out. Last time I drove it, I raced a S2000 with muffler and body kit. I was ahead by 3-4 cars from 0-70mph. This car will also pull 3-4 car length on stock STI from 0-100. No bad if you consider the STI will jump 2 cars ahead from the gate.

Wow That a long time! I am here looking for a big So Cal meet. I thought I should let some of the member see this car before parting it out. It has always been a sleeper ;D and only a few guys know what was done on that car. Have anyone heard of 10+ PSI on comptech SC? LOL I have been running that set up for at least 3 years, on 91 pump gas!. Anyway I finally found a car to replace it so I guess it time to part out.

I beg to differ. You'll need more than 300whp to get 12s.

LOL That is why I didn't want to sell my CL. Everytime I drive it out, I got a story to tell. Car $30+K , Mods $10+K to see those faces in my rear view mirror, priceless! Car with mods is probaly worth 10+k now, cheap compare to other cars. The good thing is everyone that raced me think they should smoke my old cheapa$$ car so even if I lose there is no hard feeling. The only lost I could remember was to my friend's 450+hp Evo IX on race gas. I was side by side until I shifted into 4th. After that race, it finally hit me! I need a slightly bigger engine around 3.6, higher boost let say 1.3 bar with a turbo. Yeah, trubo! hell give me two of those bad boys and this is what I got. ;D

Don't feel too bad, save up! We are in the good old USA, the land of credit and everyone can own a car of their dreams!. IMO, GT2 can't be a daily driver. Scrapes everywhere, harsh ride, to dangerous to be out in rain, can't go buy more than a loaf of bread, can't go over some speed bump in Asain market and etc. Oh, my other half hates it! She calls it NOT user friendly. In this car if someone try to race me, they usually have a car that can owned me! I will be that guy in their rear view mirror. LOL

in boost we trust.

What about a rear mount turbo. I think you can pull 12's with that.

this is true, you'll be in a whole new class of people that want to have at it, but surely you'll be getting modded evo's WRX's and some other's test you out. Hell I would just to see that thing move. and to the other half and it is NOT user friendly. May not be a suitable daily driver but a nice weekend sunday warrior I'd take. Enjoy that bad boy. I've thought of upgrading, as you said good ol usa, land of credit, but I have a project car I need to complete and restore before I do that.

The turbo is sick, I know a couple guys at my work who have 07's and I was fortunate enough to be able to drive one. Pure sex on wheels; have fun!
