3.5 liters

would anyone like to explain to me the 3.5 liter upgrade. Is it like a stroker kit? How is this upgrade down? What are the performance numbers? Price? And lastly how does this mod effect the life of trhe car and it's engine?

its nothing more than the lower part of the engine (block, crank, pistons, etc) from an MDX, you drop the stock CL-S engine block and simply replace it wih the 3.5l one. its $2500 bucks plus at least $1000-$1500 for installation. there is no negative effect on the life of the motor as its a brand new frickin motor!!! but it will, without a doubt, void any warranty on your car.

If i didn't worry my tranny would explode, I'd go find a wrecked MDX w/ a good engine and to the swap with some friends.

This is the new 3.5L upgrade everyone is talking about:


ENGINE - BF200/225 HP
Type: 4-stroke SOHC 60 degree V6
Displacement: 3471 cc (212 cubic inches)
Bore & Stroke: 89 mm x 93 mm (3.5 x 3.66 inches)
Full Throttle RPM Range: 5,000-6,000 RPM
Rated Power: 200 HP @ 5,500 RPM
225 HP @ 5,500 RPM
Cooling System: Water Cooled
Fuel Delivery: Programmed Fuel Injection
Ignition System: MicroComputer Programmed
Starting System: Electric
Exhaust: Through Hub
Saw them put it on the shark boat on Monster Garage last night. $17k engine!
