I have an 01' 3.2 CL that refuses to start.
I have recently replaced the battery and the headlights, ac, dash, etc all work, however when I turn the key I get nothing.
It has been cranky about getting started here lately, but I figured that was just the battery.
I tried replacing the main relay this morning, but that didn't solve the problem.
I am at a loss as to what to try next.

 

sounds like an alternator. usually when the alternator fails, your car will then have to rely on the battery and once that fails, you have to replace both the alternator and battery.

if not, maybe the starter needs to be inspected and replaced.

 

I thought it might be the alternator as well, but they checked that when I got a new battery and it was fine a month or two ago, so I am leaning toward the starter or the solenoid.

Do you hear the fuel pump whine up with the key in the "ON" position?

 

my car works fine and honestly i dont think i can hear the fuel pump going at any point..

but I would think it's the starter solenoid too...

if it's batery or alt related... ud have a very weak crank if at all ant all the dash lights start going bonkers..

i had a started solenoid go on my previous car and it was weird!!!! u could jump the car and get it started sometimes but it was soooooo hard... and sometimes itd work and other times it wouldn't work at all.... but yea.. i'd have to say starter... i'd just get a new one and b done with it.

hopefully u geter goin... nothing worse than a car that wont start :-(

 

It should be the main relay, this happened to me last year changed the main relay and it worked just fine. Hope this helps.
