i was on 360 with my 3.0 cl (all stcok except a racing chip) just cruising when a 2004 vw gti vr6 pulls next to me. he revs up his engine and asks me to race... three honk and were off(rolling fomr 50mph).. we were neck and neck until 80 and then he pulled on me real quick. he put on his hazards and i beemed him... then we stopped at a light next to eachother and i took him off the line but then he pulled on me again... what do you think my next mod should be?

 

those vr6's are quick...they should run even with a cl-s as well..so don't feel too bad

 

A VR6 GTI won't run neck and neck with a CL-S. I raped one back in the day with only intake from a stop. Most GTI owners talk bad about the VR6 and prefer the 1.8T for its mod potential.

 

How much HP does that chip give the 3.0?

 

they claim that the chip will increase HP but i only got like 7-10 HP which is still not too bad

 

they claim 20 HP

 

i would take a 1.8t over the v6 anyday. go to audi and vw forums, i bet they would do the same. in fact, i remember reading an article in car and driver where a tuner actually swapped in the 4 banger and got rid of the v6. sounded odd but now i understand.
why did he pull after 80? did you shift or something?

 

yeah i was on 3 and i switched to 4

 

it could have been one of those new ones. with the turbo vr6 motor something like the r32 or someshit. thier bad as fawk.

how much would headers be and the chip is an intake mod that my friend gave -

 

explain the chip. Cause honestly I bet it's BS


OBX headers are 300$ and need to be bent slightly to fit properly

 

yo seriously i think its rip off my friend told me it one of those shity ass things on ebay which says it fakes your computer into thinking their is cold air running thru i took it out
