2nd gen CL/TL - Want Performance Motor Mounts?

Anyone seriously interested in getting new motor mounts please read on.

More than 20 members have already installed the Innovative Motor mounts. Most are happy with the improved performance they add. However, we have one group that consists of 2nd gen CL/TL who have vibration problems once the rear mount is installed. This is a quality build product that is well worth the investment, but Innovative needs someone close by fix the rear mount issue.

Below is a note from Excelerate, our vendor for this product, letting us know what Innovative is willing to do to help resolve this vibration issue.

"What Innovative needs is a 2nd gen CL/TL with Auto tranny to go to their facility so they can see these vibrations. If anyone is located in their area and has the mounts on or doesn't they want you to stop by. If you already have the mounts on or need the mounts installed they will do it for you. If you don't have the mounts on they will install a set for you and give you a set of free mounts. They want to correct the problem but they need another CL/TL in person to do so to see if something is maybe rubbing against something. Anyone who can participate please call Tim at Innovative at 714-524-5246"

Where they are located:

Innovative Mounts
990 Via Rodeo
Placentia, Ca 92870
P: 714-524-5246

I'd go if it wasn't so far . . this is a really good mod that will help with several performance areas, below are some of the main ones.
- improved acceleration in 0-60 and quarter mile times
- significantly reduced wheel hop
- better power transfer when shifting
- improved steering response

This is a must have mod for folks that want the best possible performance we can get. Increasing HP is great, but you need to manage it as well and these mounts will do that.

If you are interested in this offer please PM me and I'll take you through the details and then you can decide. I'd go there myself, but it's a bit of a drive from Texas.

I would defer to the 6-speed owners, but I'm believe they are satisfied with their set up. So as far as I know, only the AT group, or some of them are having this problem.

i have the original front and rear, along with the revised side mount on my 6spd. vibrations are minimal but evident. the wheel hop is GREATLY reduced and it feels much more solid on take-offs.

need more 6spd to chime before i bite on these. not really looking to improve take off cuz i don't take it to the track. it's my daily driver and really need it to be comfortable. i took off the nrg dampers for the same reason.

If I was closer I would let them use my car as long as they needed it. Somebody do this, I need these bad, and I can't deal with these vibrations as bad as some have experienced. Lets get this problem worked out.

The rear mount on the 6 speed still causes vibration. I took mine out and sold them and put stocks back in because it bugged me too much, i even had all 3 revised mounts. It was even worse with ac on. Now with OEM mounts its smooth as glass and i really dont see much difference..You may get improvement with wheel hop but i didnt notice enough of a diference to put up with the vibrations

Interesting that the MTs 6-speeds can have this problem.

Well, I'll wait to see what the designers at Innovative come back with. However, I'm begining to feel that without having some of motorheads there in person may result in us not getting a satisfactory results. I've only talked to Tim, but it may be that I need to talk with the designer/engineer directly. Hum . . . .

In the meantime, I may try some new approaches this weekend I've been thinking about. Depending on those results I may see if my brother's shop can make some major changes. I'll only do that if I think the result will be something that will work to my satisfaction. And I'm really getting tired of driving it like that every day. Worst case will be that I'll do what Mike did and put a new POS factory rear mount back in and be done with it.

Hey, when you getting back up to the Dallas/Allen area? Let me know and we can put 2 heads together and see if we can come up with something. I'll get us some

if you thought the NRG dampers made it to rough then these mounts are not for you. i have both of my dampers still installed and had them on before i installed the mounts. i didn't the dampers reduced the ride quality at all.

and btw i don't go to the track or have i ever been. i just enjoy the feeling of putting power down over listening to my front end having a seizure when i floor it.

i'll let you know RUF. will probably be sometime in June. a couple brews sound good.

I have the front and side mount installed. I can notice the vibrations but its very minor. The motor holds strong and I have yet to install the rear. The front and side have improved the wheel hop enough to where the vibration is not an issue. Its really close to nothing. I'm 6MT
