ne major differences b/t TL-S and CL-S (auto), besides 2 doors?

seats are sportier in the CLS, CLS has wider wheels....nothing else really.

 

Um, one emblem starts with a C, the other a T. There's also a website for the TL as well...

just wanted to c if CL has any major differences, like ride hight suspension tuning, if the TL sounds the same under WOT, which handles better etc.

 

I think they are pretty much the same besides the exterior and seats. Since they both share alot of the same parts.

 

Stereo

The TL has a 10in subwoofer in the tray behind the rear seats. it also has full range speakers (I think 6.5s) in each door. it does not have component tweters mounter on the doors.

The CL has a 6.5 and a component tweter on each door and 6x9 speakers on the rear tray. No subwoofer.

The stereo system on the TL is more difficult to upgrade if you are planning to keep the head unit.

Fog lights

No fog lights on CL. 9006 bulb fog lights on TL. You can modify the CL to hold a TL switch and the are many variations of the fog lights that may be used, including the 01 and 02 CL fog lights.

I am sure there are some slight differences in other areas and the engine but I don't know exactly what they are. perhaps someone else has the answers to that.

More troubling, is a-tl.com has turned into stodgy old people with zero sense of humor and 17y/o kids in mom's hand-me-down '99 TL-P with a short ram intake claiming to outgun WRX's and Z's. Roit...

 

It is a 9" POS sub and the front door speakers are 5 1/4" speakers.

 

The CL-S is faster than the TL-S.:P

CL-s manual is faster than the TL-S auto only if the driver doesn't suck

 

The TLS rides on a 6.5" wheel and the CLS on 7" - but share the same sized tire.

Oh yeah - the TLS looks WAY hotter with an OEM kit .

 

So far .. every CL-S I've raced at the track has kicked my modded TL-S's ass....

I'm 1-4 against equally modded CLSs although all five races were from a roll and against Bulldog01. More like 1-3-1 but the one win I got was cuz I got the jump. 2 losses were because I hit the rev limiter and the other I simply lost (he had an intake).

 

the CL sounds louder or deeper taking off stock (6speed) compared to a TL stock. CL-s = 2 doors, TL-s = 4 doors. CL has silver trimming; TL doesn't. there are a few more but then i would be comparing a manual CL to an auto TL
