well, talked to a salesman today, and he claimed 0-60 in 6 flat for 6 speed, and 6.4 for auto, don't know how valid his claims were, but at least its a starting point.

Isn't that slower than a CLS?

Its main competition are going to be the same cars as the TLS as it really hasnt gotten any faster. They include the 02-04 Maximas, G35's,TLS's,330's 3.5 Altima's,CLS's etc. all of these cars run similiar times and is very driver dependent, but go to each of their forums and they all say their faster. I take that with a grain of salt form any of those forums! other cars will try but many will fail for sure and win for sure!

yeah, I think the claimed numbers for the CLS6 were 5.9... but as we all know, its all depends on driver, conditions, etc.

I would think it would be very close to what the CL can take, 6spd and 5A.

Damn, you seem to be in a bad mood lately. You are becoming as cynical as jimcol.

But why do you feel the J32A2 is overrated?? The stock 6-Speed dynos have been between 215 - 220 WHP with a drivetrain loss of about 17%. This equates to right at 260 crank HP. The automatics have dyno'd around 200 WHP with a drivetrain loss of about 23% which equates to about 260 crank HP also.

i love my car i just sometimes hate the bullshit like the tranny, rattles etc

most auto transmissions cars w/ a crank rating of 260 will put down more than 200 whp....

Like???

DB - 23% loss for an auto transmission car is pretty good.

Not really, not most Japanese brands at least. I beleive GM does the best job at having the least losses (and durability) through an automatic and they are still about 20%.

Most import, particularly FWD, automatics seem to be in the 22% - 27% range.

Although I am not 100% sure I beleive the '99+ A4 Mustangs are dynoing around 210 RWHP. This is about a 20% drivetrain loss which is correct.

It just seems that when everything is packed into the FWD automatic transaxle, and designed by the Japanese , there is more drivetrain loss. I beleive the Maxima guys have it worse at about 25% loss. So Our 23% is just about in the middle.
