250-300 per tank?
Is that the typical fuel economy that you guys get?.. for the past 3 tanks ive been measuring and its been around 250 per 13-14 gallons.... i have intake and pulleys.. does that have effect on MPG?

I've maxed at 24.7
24.7 is my best, 19 is my usual. I like to floor it about 1-2 times a day and I usually see north of 5000 several times a day. It's hard not to... I figure it's not worth it to save a few bucks on gas since I pay $1.36 per gallon at Price Club ($145-$1.55 is normal range in San Diego.
I have the CAI but I don't see much difference in mpg.

I race all the time, and even when I'm not....I tend to have a lead foot, and I get around 315 miles to the tank. I don't think my actuator has problems cause I am racing and I seem to win all the time.

Find beauty in dissonance
lead foot?
I guess my car has a light pedal. If I don't see 200 on a 1/2 tank I take it easy on the rest. I get about 28 mpg. 60/40 highway/city. On roadtrips I get about 31.:P

I was getting ready to start a new topic when I saw this one. I thought there was something wrong with my car. Now I know there is. I went on a trip for Thanksgiving. On the way back I got stopped in traffic for an hour and a half, but I still got 37 MPG!!! I figured I would have gotten real close to 40 if it weren't for the traffic. I normally get 25 in town (not much stopping, ~35 miles). Has anyone else gotten mileage like this? And yes my actuator does work, I checked it.

That you were looking at the right trip meter? That someone didn't put in a couple of gallons of gas while you weren't looking? Not saying it couldn't happen, but I haven't heard of anything near that number. If you drained the tank that would be 32 MPG
(17.2 gallon capacity), but I assume you're saying it only took 14.5 gallons to refil.

BTW: In pseudo-controlled conditions (ie: always the same pump at the same gas station, fill till the autoshutoff, no extra) I seem to be consistently getting about 21-22 mpg (US) mixed freeway/city driving. And I like VTEC!

This was all highway miles. NO Vtec at all. I left in the morning set the cruise so I was turning 2000 RPM or a little under. 540 miles later I pulled in next to the house to fill up. If I remember right I put in a little over 14 gallons. My Dad got 36 MPG in his TL this summer.

I used to regularly get 330-340 miles per tankfull and averaged about 24.5 MPG. For the last two tankfulls (with the sticky Toyos) my fuel economy is worse...I have averaged about 22 MPG.
