24v electric supercharger form knights

How do I power up a 24v electric supercharger???, its really big ( not those cheap 12v blowers on Ebay), this gives you real 6psi.

a step up transformer can increase the voltage.. if there is one available (for 12 to 24V change) it would enable you to increase the 12V from the battery to 24V for the electric supercharger

Thomas Knight is very respected around the tuner crowd, his improvements in FI are known everywhere. His E-charger has been around; basically, an electrical nitrous switch without the refills. I've only seen it on one car locally. Would be interesting on a CL

For power, you would either have to run Odyssey batteries or several capacitors to prolong the juice.

Transformers are only for AC not DC

A capacitor would store energy delivering current when needed not additional volts.

Two 12 volt batteries in series will give you 24 volts. In parrellel you'll get more available current.

thanks captain obvious.

i meant that a system such as this would probaby require a store of energy as someone mentioned it was like nitrous. if you simply use 2 batts when you suck that much current you will create a coltae drop which will eat your alternator and potentially mess with things like abs, pwr steering, and the echarger itself.

No need to insult me because of your bad advice.

What there all trying to say is that this is not an effective way to produce more power. You would have to have two additional batteries run in series mounted somewhere(probably the trunk) also you would have to upgrade the alternator to suplly enough power to charge all three batteries.
