im no expert at this.. but since i read most of the posts about tire size.... so im pretty sure that 245 is way to big. I think you will rub. There are people on this site say that on 18s, that a 235 will rub... so yea.. is im wrong then someone correct me.

it depends whether your car is lowered or not. if it is then it probably will. typically with your cars the higher the offset the better. type s girl has 19x8 rims with +51 offset, lowered and hers doesn't rub. but others with 18x8 with +43 does with 235.

BDI: Just got some 235 40-18's on my cl-s. They had to be custom fitted. 245's will be too wide. If you go with 235 18's be sure to have the work done by a reputable shop since alterations will need to be made to your car. Ask for references and a portfolio. As for me they had to shave my fender wells and actually surface the back pad of the wheels so they would fit(granted I added Eibach springs and brought the car down about 1.6in.). They still even rub under extreme compression. Consolation is that the car looks great and handles as if it were on rails, truly.

Good Luck!

You know, I never even asked about the offset - but I do know that the wheels are 18X8 MASITALY's. I just found the wheels I wanted and my mech fitted them, again had to alter the car to get them to work with the springs.

You should call tire rack or discount tire...they'll thell you exactly what you need...they even ask if you lowered it..so, if you get a rim pack from them...it is gonna fit.

Too late, already have the 18's on the car. Like I said, it still rubs in the back with a passenger. 19's with these wheels at least would have been a disaster! I'm sure it's simply due to the offset of the wheel. There's about 2.5 in of dish on the MASITALY Sagittas - lowering it didn't help either. I hate the noise of the rub when the wheel goes too far into the well, I can't imagine what it would be like with the 19's. Besides the 18 40s look very nice, classy.

Hey colbster,
Can you post some pics of your car? I have been looking at those same MAS rims ( actually the Sagittas and the Rogers). I would like to see what they look like.

Thanks, Matt

I don't have access to a digital camera. Sorry. The car looks great though, Sagittas are the way to go I think.
