tOYO t1-s for middle of road or pole position s03

The best balance of solidity in the ride and performance is the michilin pilot sport not he all seasons sthough

I run Bridgstones RE750's ,, after 5k miles they have performed better than the re730's they replaced. The handling exceeds my personal limits and they aren't any noiser than stock. I should get easily 30k miles out of them,, but for me thats 1.5 years. The 235's fit fine with no problems..

I too am looking at that size very soon. So far it seems the Pirelli PZero Nero is rated very well but it is fairly new. They are a bit more than some of the tires mentioned but way cheaper than stocks.

if you put the 235 on the stock rim, won't the tires look like they are sticking out since the wheel isn't that wide?

The yoko AVS ES-100 ($111) is also rated as a very good summer tire but might have limited life expectancy. The PZero-Nero is $125 or so. There are a ton of poeple that have mounted 235/45 and while wider than stock, look proper for the wheel and car. Does not stick out badly at all. Do a search on Sumitomo 235/45 and there is a nice blue TL-S with good photos of the tire. The rim protector protrudes a little but the sidewall doesnt look bad at all.

Dunlop SP Sport 5000 Asymmetrical ... only problem with these is that you have to get use to how the asymmetrical tread affects the way the car corners ... but once you get use to it it's a kick. Absolutely no problems mounted on stock '03 Type-S rims.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on 03 CL-S wheels. I've got almost 20K on them and I love them.

true, but on stock rims in the mid-atlantic where snow is an issue, summer performance tires are a non-starter ... which is why the M3 sits in the garage during the winter unless the roads are clear.

That size in Toyo T1-S on my '03 Rims prevents normal means of alignments. I had to find a place w/ a tire clamp adapter (rare) to get the job done.
