235/45/17 or 245/40/17 for an17x8 50mm rim

235/45/17 or 245/40/17 for an17x8 50mm rim
I have 235/45/17 for 3 years. Now I need tires. WIth this correct offset, the 245 will fit.


The 235/45/17 is eaxact diameter as stock the 245 will be slightly less

I know you can fit 235s on the stock 17x7 wheels, so 245s on 17x8 wheels with that high an offset shouldn't be a problem.

THere have been a few guys with rubbing on the inside of the fender. Might be something to check if your car is lowered. 245/40 should fit as good as the 235/45 due to it being slightly shorter.

i have the 245 45 17s on stock wheels with no problems not lowered though and no pics
