210mph on a public road is incredibly stupid.

Where do you live so I know NEVER to visit there?

Sheesh

Mff mff mff... whats thaat horrible smell.... someone needs to tell soopa to clean this forum up cause it reaks like BULLSHIT!! I didnt think f40's did 210. In fact im almost positive. So sorry but unless that thing is worked thats bullshit. And for a top speed run like that you would need some serious room. Like a 5 mile stretch.

Isn't that what they did in Ferris Bueller's Day Off? It's been a long time since I saw that movie.

Yeah I smell somethin' too..Cuz I distinctly remember Road & Track testing that car when it first came out, and top speed was 201 (not too shabby). But at those speeds it takes a LOT more HP to get 9 more MPH on the top speed.

you guys are right...the recorded speed for a F40 is just a little over 200 mph.

but he could also be right...the gauge might actually be reading 210 when he's really only doing 195...the thing is at high speed, stock dials are not that efficient.

(sniff)(sniff) Yup. I smell it too. According to http://www.fantasycars.com/derek/cars/f40.html which lists stats for many 100's of high performance cars, the top speed of that car is as follows: Top Speed 196.0 mph / 315.4 kph
That's quite a bit away from 210 mph.
