It's really unknown what the status for the CL is right now. The thought is IF a new model is released it will be in the Fall of '03.
Look for hints to what is coming in the car shows that are to begin in the new year.

I don't know if Acura has sold the 2700 2003 6spds yet, but once they do, you might not be able to get a 2003.
The 2004 TL will be a redesign, so the CL will be next (if they keep it in the line up). Since the CL is in the 3rd year of the 5 year cycle (Honda/Acura design all their cars around the 5 year cycle, the exception being the 8 year run of the last integra), the CL should be around for another couple of years (2005??).
The 5 year cycle usually goes like this:
1st year - redesign (i.e. 2001 CL)
2nd year - same as the first
3rd year - minor reskin (i.e. 2003 headlights, taillights, driving light delete, 6spd tranny added).
4th year - same as the 3rd
5th year - more of the same
redesign for the next generation
If you buy a CLS 6spd in April it most likely will be a 2004 model unless Acura extends the 2003 for a year and a half (2003 model was available in the spring of 2002).
The temple of vtec has a neat new model matrix here:

Who knows if the CL will make it to the next generation![Dunno](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/dunno.gif)
edit: changed (2003 model was available in the spring of 2003).

acura would be crazy leaving the market for the competition to eat it up i.e. g35..... so i have a feeling they most likely will bring the next gen :fingerscrossed:
But i wonder what they would have to do to it, considering the current CL are really nice cars and even better considering the $$$ factor..... yet they didnt exactly fly off the shelves

IF Acura decides to stop making the CL I don't think they will loose too much considering the volume of sales and considering the type of competition and sales they have.
Most people don't really shop for coupes in the CL price range, most shop below (mustang, accord, stratus etc) or above (boxters, vettes, MB CL's) so the sales industry-wide for the CL's segment is rather small and they belong mostly to BMW.
If they don't redesign the CL and I think they won't, they can spend that money on the two BIGEST projects facing Acura 1) redesigning a legend in the NSX (oh yeah it's been around the longest in Acura lineup 10+ years I think) and 2) Making the next gen RL a competitive car to Lexus and Infinity.
For those reasons I don't think we'll see a redesign of the CL anytime soon. Acura has said they are in the beginning stages of a expansion program but I think we'll see more on the lines of TSX's and another SUV to the MDX (I think we'll see an even larger SUV from Acura to compete with Lexus, BMW, Cadilac, Land Rover)
Of course all I've just said is pure gueswork but it's fun to speculate though.
