This is very radical for Honda IMO. I like it, only thing I would change is that valve cover. It looks out of place.

It's hideous. I aplaud them for wanting to try something different and not just do another retro Harley clone, but this is gross. I'd say a regular or possibly girder front fork, get rid of some of the covers that add the mass look, trim down the rear fender, show off the engine. You'd be hard pressed to tote the little woman around on that thing, she'd smash the clam on that little pee pad.

this is a nice looking bike but no honda bike will EVER be as good as a Harley Davidson. Period.

You Pay 20K for this Valk. and You Pay 40K+ for Custom H.D.....

Honda is not a custom bike... HD is....

First off, HD is not a Custom bike. This Valkyrie will probably sell for at least $20K would be my estimate. Like all bikes of today, it is just a question of the bike you want to ride. At this price range, you could go Goldwing, Valkyries, HD or even BMW.

The one thing I will say about riding a HD, is that the comradaries is unbelievable between HD riders. I do not believe any other bike groups has that. Maybe the Goldwingers, but they do not socialise much since they are knocking off 800 mile days.

IMHO.

that is a picture of the 2004 valkyrie rune that supposedly hits showrooms in late spring 2003.

with respect to lrutt's comments regarding clam-smashing, the little lady'd be hard pressed to ride pillion without any footpegs, but stranger things have certainly happened.

for what it's worth, this is a pic of the 2003 honda valkyrie:
