So last year (May 2021) I bought my first car! A friend of mine had this CL but someone decided to do a hit and run on him so he decided to get rid of it. I bought it for $800 with the drivers door unable to be opened, 5 check engine light codes, worn out tires and some other things.
I managed to find a door that was almost the same color, along with the bottom trim piece from a junkyard for it. Took me a few months to get it bondo finished on it, but I finally painted it in July.
because of the high humidity and me using the wrong clear coat, it didnt come out great but it looks good enough. I'm thinking of redoing it if I get better weather and some time off.
About a month after that, I changed out the 2 O2 sensors which cleared 4 of the codes. The last code turned out to be super simple, it was the throttle position sensor and all I had to do was unplug it, spray the connector with LPS, and plug it back in.
In December, I finally my winter break and got to changing the timing belt, valve cover gaskets and tires. Also got a new windshield and rearview mirror, and replaced the warped rotors with powerstop drilled slotted rotors. Also replaced the grill and headlights, added interior RGB lighting, and an OEM spoiler.


I'll post some more on this for whatever more I end up doing on it.

I used OEM coded rattle can paint from the link below when I painted the driverside fender on my project 03 CL-S.
2002 Acura Cl NH623M Colors of Touch Up Paint (automotivetouchup.com)
Topped it off with USC SprayMax 2K Glamour High Gloss Aerosol Clear.

kinda wished I had posted this earlier lol. Ive got tomorrow off, and the weather Is supposed to be good so im going to go ahead and do it with the autozone color match paint. Already started sanding it down and putting some bondo on the door. That paint would probably do better though, i might try fixing and painting the front bumper with it.
