dealer is asking 31,000......is that a good price? what is the invoice and how much lower could i go? 29-30? since 2003 is going to be al ittle differernt? im thinking of an IS300 too, but with navi it's going to run in the mid 30s right? please help me out. thanks,

I miss my 03 CL-S :(
"2003 is going to be a little different" implies it's not out yet... It's been out since March.
That being said, 31k for a 2002 is a rip-off. I paid 30,900 with navi (w/o spoiler, taxes, etc) for my 2003 Type S in March when it came out. Granted I used a car buying service, but still...
I wouldn't get a 2002 for anything more than 28k with navi.

you should be able to get them down to 29 something maximum for a '02 Navi...
even if invoice says its X amount... its really not... after mfg kickbacks etc the invoice is considerably less.
i paid

I doubt you will get better than 4.9% though!!!!!!
I bought mine a year ago and I got 6.75 from my bank.
I thought that was the shiznit back then.
Make sure you get what you want!!!!!
Get the Acura Extended Warranty too!!!
7 years 100K miles!!! Bumper to Bumper!!! WELL WORTH IT!!!
I paid $1200 or $1400 for it with NO DEDUCTIBLE!!!

I paid 30,900 for an Aegean Blue, spoiler and navi in late December, delivery on Dec. 28th, so that can give you some point of view, DEFINITELY should be paying less.

now that you know
go to the dealer and say that you KNOW that it's worth about 29k with the current sales. if they can make a deal, great. if not, don't waste your time, just say "thank you but it looks like we don't have a deal" and walk out. go to the next dealer and find the car you like and say exactly, "i'm willing to pay 29k for this deal, I've researched the price and have several contacts of buyers who have bought it at this price. I know it's a good deal but I'm ready to buy right now and not waste anyone's time. do we have a deal?" they'll dilly dally a bit and give you some shit. ask to speak with the manager directly and if they ever give you any stall tactics, just walk out and 90% chance they'll come chase you down. it's a lot of work but it's sort of fun for me.

RULE #1 - Know the value of the car BEFORE u walk in the dealership. All these guys are right on the 29 - Once u know that, dont let em feed u any shit and STAND UR GROUND.
they'll do ANYthing to make the car and the deal sound enticing...

BTW - i paid about $30,400 for a 2002 fully loaded back in DEC. excluding tax and other anal-fingering add-ons.
So now u should definetly pay atleast a thousand LESS for a "year old" car
