2001TL-S or 2002 CL-S?

I have been holding out for the 2002 CL-S (basically because I am really interested in a 6-speed). However there is a dealer here in the ATL that is offering a new 2001 TL-S at 399mo, 12K/yr, 48mo(would try and get it for 36mo) with $500 down, and $0 sec. deposit. That's a really good deal on a hot selling car.
I can't decide if I should consider this deal seriously, or hold out a little longer for the CL.
Just looking for some input.
Thanks-
PNastyC

Well considering they don't have a 2001 TL-S (it's a 2002), that should make the decision easier!!

Just playing.... seriously, you're in Atlanta, so you should drive an auto!! I've seen the traffic down there... Yikes, and I thought it was bad here. That is a good deal on the TL-S, but keep in mind that the 6 speed CL-S will probably have good deals too once the hype dies down. Manuals are not usually good sellers, so if you wait until 1st quarter 2002, you could probably get a 2002 CL-S for a good price. It's really up to, do you want a 2 door or 4 door, and do you want stick or auto....

I would get the CL-S if you don't need 4 doors. To me, a 4-dr. TL-S looks just like all the other Acuras. The CL is distinctive. Just my opinion.

what part of atlanta do you usually commute in? I love my auto b/c of Atlanta traffic, but love to shift the gears in the old 325i when I go back home.

You answered your own question when you said that you were really interested in a 6-speed manual. Don't settle for an automatic tranny if its not what you really want. If you do, then you'll be sorry later on....

By the way, I wouldn't consider ANY Type-S a "hot selling car". Dealers are practically giving away the CL-S these days.

Thanks for the input. JB- I am sure I could get a really good deal on a 2001 if they still had them. I did mean 2002 TL-S, thanks for the correction.

As good as a deal as I could get on the TL-S, I really want the CL-S. Fortunately, I don't have that bad of an ATL commute to where a stick would be cumbersome. RichS, I recently moved out to West Cobb Co. so a good bit of my ride is backroads.
Hey Fastdriver, thanks for turning me onto this site a few months back. I always appreciate your advice.
My lease on my current car comes up in September. I am not sure when the 2002 CL will become available, but it could likely impact my ability to get a really good deal.
Hopefully, being that I am in Atlanta, most people won't be that hot for a 6-speed CL here like in other parts of the country. I don't see very many CL's on the road either.

My wife would prefer that I get a 4-door, but I am just not ready to let go of owning a sports car/coupe yet.
Thanks again for the input.

I did have one other question that I'd appreciate some feedback on. Since I have never owned an auto with a "sportshift" I am just curious if those who have had a manual before enjoy the use of the "manual-shifter" in comparison to a true stick?
