2001 CL-S with 95k for 12k--Reliable? Good Deal
Any thoughts. The only thing that is worrying me is the reliability. If it didn't have the tranny problem yet, does that mean it probably wont have it?

I hate to be the 1st one to say it but 12K for a CL-S with only 5K of tranny warranty left, you could be taking a big risk. You cant buy any extended warranty what so ever after 100K, so any problems you will have to pay out of pocket 100%.
At 95K thats great the tranny has lasted this long, but just like life there are no guaranties, it could last another 100,000K just like it could fail in 100 miles time.
If you serious about buying the Car. bring it to a Acura dealer and get it checked out, find the mx history while you there and ask them whats there policy on CLs after 100K regarding trannys.
Personally for me it i'd pass only for a tranny problems, other than that its a great car, but the trannies can't be trusted.

I miss my 03 CL-S :(
I would definitely not get it.
I could have gotten a "demo" 03 CL-S with 5k miles on it after totaling my 03 CL-S but decided that even that was too high a risk.
