2001 3.2 CL Underhood Warning Labels
Just got my 01 CL Type S back from the body repair shop after having the hood, grill, front bumper cover replaced. The hood is new and there are only two decals/labels on the underside, but I think I used to have three. There are three cutouts in the underhood mat/sound dampener/heat shield/whatever it is called. Regardless the open spot in the cover nearest the center of the hood has no label on the hood. Could some one please post the underside of a 2001 CL Type S hood and show the number of lables and possibly close ups of the labels? Not a real big deal, but if I sell or trade in the car I would like it to be correct.
BTW, just had the auto trans replaced at 74.5K miles... fingers crossed.
Thanks in advance for your help.

One is an SRS info label, the other an Emissions info label and the last is a coolant info label. I can get some pics tomorrow after I get home from work.
Off topic, Is that your Chevelle in your avatar? Looks sick.

Thanks, I would appreciate pics of the labels so that I can replace the missing one.
Yes the Chevelle is mine, 1969, 468 w/ BDS 8-71 two Barry Grant mechanical 750's... 4.5 miles per gallon, but who is counting.
Thanks.

Thanks for the photos... confirms that I need an emission control label. Spoke to the Acura parts guy today and he ordered it as he said it is "unique based on the VIN" Body shop guy was not on his game when he said it only takes two labels... then again he was likely glad to see me go on my way.

Don't know if they are necessarily VIN based, but I do know it does depend on year and which emissions your car was set up for (50 state, Cali, wherever). Here are the pages out of the service manual regarding the emissions sticker. Don't know if it will help.

And that motor on the Chevelle sounds like a sweet set-up. Nothing like a big 8-71 sticking out the hood

Thanks for the additional info and the photos from the book. I guess the parts guy wanted the VIN to figure out specific information about emissions, etc. He told me that the labels are not in stock and he had to call to Atlanta or some place and get them to give pricing and lead time. That may be why the body shop tried to convince me that nothing goes in that hole in the underhood insulation... to much effort required.
The blower thing is pretty cool, I'd never driven a big block Chevy with a blower before but had driven a 67 Nova with a blown small block. Just gobs and gobs of torque. At 3000 RPMS it's already over 600 ft lbs tq and still climbing. And yes, it is difficult to see around especially cruising through the neighborhood, but it's not much of an issue on the highway except for keeping my foot out of it.
